When Jesus Christ was on earth, He was not known to be the Son of God. There are many verses and passages that straight that He didn't want others to know just exactly who He is. By that He shows us how to be humble. He, Jesus Christ, Lord of lords, wasn't always recognized for what He did, and assuredly He did miraculous things! Then, by His example we should also be humbled, and give up our present life-style to follow in His footsteps; to give up who we are on our own.
